No. Play as guest. Progress saves temporarily via IP address (it just saves an obfuscated version of your IP address because I kept having duplicate guest accounts created). Full account ensures permanent saves across devices.

Guest accounts are temporary. Progress persists from same IP but may be lost on different networks. Registered accounts are permanent, work on any device, allow custom usernames.

When you register a full account, your guest account from that IP address is automatically deleted. You'll start fresh with your new registered account. We recommend registering before achieving high scores if you want to preserve them permanently.

Log in to your account, click on your username in the navigation bar, and select "Account" from the dropdown menu. On the account page, you'll find options to change your password. Guest accounts cannot change passwords as they don't have one.

Currently, password recovery requires contacting support. Email us at contact@mildlyinfuriatinggames.xyz with your username, and we'll help you recover your account. We're working on implementing automated password recovery in the future.

Yes. Contact us at contact@mildlyinfuriatinggames.xyz to request account deletion. We'll remove your account and all associated data within 30 days. Note that this action is permanent and cannot be undone.

Your controls randomly shuffle after each level! What was jump might become left, and what was left might become right. You need to constantly adapt to new control schemes while navigating increasingly difficult platforming challenges.

Weapons are unlocked through the level-up system. Defeat enemies to gain XP, and when you level up, you'll be presented with upgrade choices. Your first level up will always offer two weapon options to ensure you have a weapon before getting weapon-related upgrades.

As you climb higher, the environment changes through five distinct themes: The Beginning (0-1000m), Frozen Heights (1000-2500m), Volcanic Zone (2500-4000m), The Void (4000-6000m), and Sky Realm (6000m+). Each theme has unique visual aesthetics and atmospheric elements. I'm working on implementing theme based enemies. They will exist in future updates.

Coyote Time allows you to jump for a brief moment after leaving a platform, making edge jumps more forgiving. Jump Buffer lets you press the jump button slightly before landing, and the jump will execute immediately upon touchdown. Both mechanics help smooth out the platforming experience despite the changing controls.

Yes! Press the ESC key to open the pause menu. The game world freezes while paused, giving you time to check your stats, review the tutorial, or take a break. You can also restart the game from the pause menu.

Try closing other browser tabs and applications to free up system resources. Make sure you're using a modern, up-to-date browser. Disable browser extensions that might interfere with game performance. If issues persist, try a different browser or clear your browser cache.

Scores are saved automatically when you complete a game. If you're playing as a guest, ensure you're on the same network/IP address. Network issues during score submission can cause failures. Check your internet connection and try again. Registered accounts have more reliable score saving.

Make sure the game window has focus by clicking on it. Check that your keyboard is working properly in other applications. Try refreshing the page. Some browser extensions can interfere with keyboard input—try disabling them temporarily.

We support all modern browsers including Chrome, Firefox, Edge, and Safari. We recommend using the latest version of your preferred browser for optimal performance and compatibility. Internet Explorer is not supported.

This is usually a temporary server issue. Try refreshing the page. Check your internet connection. If the problem persists for more than a few hours, there may be server maintenance in progress. You can check back later or contact support.

You need an internet connection to load the games initially and to save scores to the leaderboard. However, once a game is loaded, it can continue running if your connection drops. Your score just won't be saved until the connection is restored.

Leaderboards display each player's best score. For the platformer, it's highest height reached. For Snake, it's maximum score achieved. Only your personal best appears on the leaderboard, even if you have multiple high-scoring runs.

Yes. Contact us at contact@mildlyinfuriatinggames.xyz to request score removal. If you delete your account, your scores are automatically removed from all leaderboards.

Email us at contact@mildlyinfuriatinggames.xyz with the username and details about the suspicious activity. We take cheating seriously and investigate all reports. Confirmed cheaters are removed from leaderboards and may have their accounts banned.

We don't plan regular resets, but may reset leaderboards if technical issues corrupt the data or in cases of widespread cheating. Any planned resets will be announced in advance on the website.

Leaderboards only display your best score. If your recent run didn't beat your previous record, it won't appear. The leaderboard shows your all-time best performance, not your most recent game.
